Spring Workshop Series: Planning Your Edible Landscape: Saturday, APRIL 19th, 2025 • 11am-1:00pm
Want to add more fruit into your home garden, but aren’t sure where to start?
Join us in the HOEC Community Orchard for an afternoon of edible landscaping education.
In this class, students will learn the basic factors to consider when choosing appropriate fruiting plants for their space: soil types, light requirements, micro-climates, canopy levels, proper placement, choice of rootstock, irrigation, and more!
We will also cover some common do’s and don’ts related to edible landscaping that will help you create a productive, sustainable, edible oasis in your backyard.
Participants will be able to tour the orchard to see inspirational examples of varieties they may want to choose for their own home garden.
Know before you go:
Bring a pad of paper and something to write with if you’d like to take notes!
All workshops are held outdoors rain or shine. Please dress for the weather.
Bring your own water bottle.
Refunds:
Due to limited class space, please note: workshops are non-refundable after purchase with the exception of weather related campus closures.
We look forward to learning with you!
