Winter Workshop Series: Fruit Tree Restoration Saturday, Feb 22nd, 2025 11am - 1pm

from $40.00

Join us in the HOEC Community Orchard for this hands-on workshop covering pruning techniques that we utilize in winter. This workshop is geared towards trees that are overgrown, too big for their space, and those that may have been neglected for multiple years. While this workshop is suitable for learners of all skill levels, it will be the best fit for students who already have some general experience with the very basics (pruning tools, parts of a fruit tree, and types of pruning cuts) OR who have taken our “Fruit Tree Pruning BASICS” class and wish to hone their skills with some guided hands-on practice!

Need financial assistance to attend? Request a workshop fee waiver!

Know Before You Go:

  • If you have them, please bring bypass hand pruners, loppers, and a pruning saw; if you don’t have your own, you may borrow from our stash.

  • Please bring safety glasses or other eye protection.

  • All workshops are held outdoors rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather!

Winter Weather Advisory:

  • If the CCC campus closes due to inclement weather, the Home Orchard Education Center will also be closed and any scheduled workshops will be rescheduled for a later date. Extreme weather closure alerts can be found here:https://www.clackamas.edu/

Refunds:

  • Due to limited class space, please note: workshops are non-refundable after purchase with the exception of weather related campus closures.

  • Refunds are available for weather-related campus closures if rescheduling is not possible. Please keep an eye on your inbox (and spam folder) for an email including rescheduling information if applicable.

We look forward to learning with you!
