Winter Workshop Series: Pruning Figs and Persimmon Saturday, JAN 25th, 2025 11 am - 1 pm
Join us in the HOEC Community Orchard for this hands-on workshop to learn proper pruning techniques specific to growing figs and persimmon trees in the Pacific Northwest. Students will receive guided hands-on practice to help to build the confidence necessary to prune their own trees at home. Let us teach you how to prune your trees for the best health and fruit production while ensuring you aren’t accidentally removing your Spring fruit wood!

Know Before You Go:
If you have them, please bring bypass hand pruners, loppers, and a pruning saw if. If you don’t have your own, you may borrow from our stash.
Safety glasses or other eye protection is required! Fig sap will burn if it gets in your eyes.
All workshops are held outdoors rain or shine. Please dress appropriately for the weather!
